Dear New Friend,
Welcome to FOOTPRINTS - St. Gregory’s Young Adult Ministry for Single, Married, Widowed, and Divorced young adults in the age range of 18 to 39. We thank you for your membership and, with God’s guidance, we hope to provide for your spiritual and social needs. We are a ministry where all of the leaders are also young adults. Therefore, we can relate to the needs of young adults while understanding the Church’s purpose for Young Adult Ministry.
Our handbook is the “Sons and Daughters of the Light: A Pastoral Plan for Young Adult Ministry” written by the U.S. National Conference of Catholic Bishops. This was written as a result of consultations in 1993 between dioceses, national organizations, and Young Adults themselves. The main message focuses on holiness, community and service. You can read this handbook online at http://www.usccb.org/laity/ygadult/toc.htm
Along with providing fulfilling events such as Bible Study, Prayer Group, Dinner & Movie Nights, and sports events, we also encourage member participation in the planning and hosting of individual events. We invite everyone to attend our once-a-month planning meetings to prepare our events calendar a month in advance. Above all, we support our members in their spiritual walk with Jesus Christ and His Church.
The following poem reminds us that we are not alone:
FOOTPRINTS
1964 Margaret Fishback Powers
One night a
man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed
scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the
sand; one belonged to him, and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the
footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life
there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the
very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, you said
that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have
noticed that at the worst times in my life, there is only one set of
footprints. How could you leave me when I needed you the most?"
The Lord replied "My precious, precious child, I love you and would never leave
you. During your times of suffering and when you see only one set of
footprints, it was then that I carried you."
We look forward to seeing you at future events! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact any of our leaders below. Thank you, and God bless you in your journey.

The Footprints group also now has business cards. Its one of the best ways to tell others about our group, its mission, and to let them know what is going on. Make sure you get one when you come to your first or next event.
Your Friends in Faith,
The St. Gregory's Footprints Leaders
